Jokowi announces East Kalimantan as site of new capital

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo has announced that two regencies in East Kalimantan are to be the site of the country’s new capital city.”The government has conducted in-depth studies in the past three years and as a result of those studies the new capital will be built in part of North Penajam Paser regency and part of Kutai Kertanegara regency in East Kalimantan,” the President said at a press conference at the State Palace in Central Jakarta on Monday.    The Jakarta Post

      De Nederlandse ambassade zal binnenkort ook moeten beginnen met het zoeken van een leuk stekkie. Misschien idee om het nieuwe ambassadegebouw te laten ontwerpen in een koloniale stijl. Ik bedoel: het moet wel een beetje geschiedenis uitstralen daar op Borneo.

        @Loekie In koloniale stijl ? Juist niet bouw maar een grachtenhuis wel chique natuurlijk en dan met de toepasselijke naam Gedung Papua Merdeka en di kebun patung patung van kapten Westerling ,Coen en van Heutz .Het is Nederlands grondgebied ( Die Ambassade) dus Nederland is daartoe gerechtigd .

    De Indonesische president Joko Widodo heeft vandaag bekendgemaakt dat de provincie Oost-Kalimantan gekozen is als locatie voor de nieuwe hoofdstad van Indonesië. De bouw van de nieuwe hoofdstad zou in 2020 moeten beginnen, en de verhuizing zou van start gaan in 2024.  In de Archipel
