Hello Indo Community and Supporters !
Please participate in our new 2012 Indo Survey. So you can be prepared, the time it takes can vary from 8 minutes up to 20 minutes.
There is also a section for Non-Indos taking the survey on behalf of someone else.
The goal in this survey will be to fully describe what has happened to the Indos and where they are today; geographically as well as within society. This survey is intended for each generation. We want to hear from everyone !

My name is Jamie Stern. I was named after my Uncle (Zoltan James Hanhart) and my Opa (James “Jimmy” Hanhart). My Opa was Indonesian and my Oma was of Dutch ancestry but born in the Dutch East Indies.

Survey voltooid… Alleen het verhaaltje aan het einde niet ingevuld.
Ingevuld… Ik wens de onderzoekers veel succes. Ik moet wel bekennen dat ik enige kritiekpuntjes heb. Sommige vragen vond ik te dwingend van karakter (“weet niet” of “geen mening” had ik daar graag als keuzemogelijkheid gezien. Verder vond ik het nogal vreemd dat naar de beheersing van allerlei weinig voor de hand liggende talen werd gevraagd (bijvoorbeeld Russisch) maar niet naar Javaans of Sundanees. Ik kan me ook niet herinneren gevraagd te zijn waar ik woon, maar dat laatste kan aan mij liggen…
Bij vraag 20. How do you classify your heritage?..
De omschrijving Indisch-Nederlands ontbrak. Ik heb die maar zelf ingevuld in het open vakje.
Dutch-Indonesian.. Indonesian-Dutch is niet een juiste vertaling ervan.
In Amerika is het heel gewoon. Maar niet in het Nederlands.
Indisch-Nederlands verwijst meer naar een specifieke groep.’
Moluks-Nederlands of Nederlands-Moluks ook.
