reactie op artikel nav renovatie graf van Heutsz: I am married to General van Heutsz’s great great granddaughter, and the family sees the general as the epitome of loyalty and service to his Queen and Country, as evidence of which he is the only Dutch commoner (Civilian) ever to have been given a State Funeral. We should not judge historical figures by today’s standards but by the standards of their time. Also, the Indonesian has the General to thank for the fact that they enter Holland as Dutch citizens!  bron
